Stone Copings

Stone coping is the horizontal line of stones along the top of wall, that straddle and protects the beneath surface against harsh weather. It is a flat stone laid sideways at the top of a wall. Coping not only shelters the wall from unfavorable climate but also gives it an aesthetic look. It is also known as comb, topping or cope. Sometimes wall cap is also referred to as coping.
